Phil specialises in corporate advice and transactions. He has experience over business and share acquisitions and disposals and has advised on a number of shareholders' arrangements and investments. He has extensive experience drafting and negotiating commercial documents, agency and distribution agreements and supply agreements. Phil has also advised clients on the exploitation and protection of intellectual property rights.
Phil has worked with a number of university ‘spin-out’ companies, including Fusion portfolio companies, and has spent time on secondment to Cardiff University in their commercial development / technology transfer team.
Phil has considerable experience in the healthcare sector and advises clients on the sale and purchase of dental businesses.
Phil is a certified expert in GDPR having completed the EU General Data Protection Regulation Practitioner qualification awarded by the International Board for IT Governance Qualifications.
Phil was educated at Cardiff University (completing a bachelor and master of laws degree) and Cardiff Law School. He joined Acuity in 2007.
